Are you a psychologist-in-training in search of guidance for your cases and mentorship for career goals? Are you passionate about learning to do affirming, culturally- and trauma-informed work?
I have been supervising externs at the graduate level for years. I am very invested in the personal and professional growth of my trainees, and I know how crucial good supervision is to developing your clinical skillset. I provide a judgment-free space for you to cultivate your identity as a practitioner and develop clinical skills. When you are a therapist in a training capacity, sometimes it feels like you cannot speak frankly with your supervisors about areas in which you are less secure or mistakes you fear you have made. In supervision, we will not only work on learning how to deliver quality clinical services, but also talk about how to care for yourself as a provider and know how and when to ask for support.
I will be a particularly good supervisor for you if you are hoping to build therapeutic skills in DBT and if cultural humility, introspection, and affirmation are key components of your identity as a provider.
